2008 WASLA PROFESSIONAL AWARD WINNERS

Congratulations to the 2008 WASLA
Professional Award winners. Out of 30 entries ten regional firms
have received professional awards in landscape architecture.
Twelve distinctive projects were singled out by a distinguished
jury from across the nation.
Projects were awarded on the quality of design, analysis,
planning and research; functionality; context and environmental
stewardship; presentation; and relevance to the profession, the
public and the environment.
This is the first time that a chapter of ASLA has implemented a
“virtual” jury for professional awards. Our
distinguished
jury
 included Laurie D. Olin, FASLA, of Philadelphia, Martha
Fry, ASLA, of San Francisco, Frederick R. Steiner, FASLA, of
Austin, and Adam Regn Arvidson, ASLA, of Minneapolis.

many aspects of this event. The next WASLA Awards
competition will be held in 2010.
