Estimator/DesignerEmployerNLS Landscape Management and Design Job DescriptionGather, calculate, and compile take off data for use in bid estimates. - Identify & propose solutions to common landscape problems including but not limited to drainage issues, safety (line of sight, visibility, pedestrian & vehicle clearance), poor plant performance, aesthetic improvement (high visibility areas) and value add proposals. - Accurately prepare bids by utilizing field collected data and standard computer software to present information to Enhancement and Area Supervisors - Line out crews and communicate project specifications as needed - Read and interpret construction plans/drawings - Visit jobs in progress to relate actual estimate; review questions or problems that may arise Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or at least 5 years related work experience - Extensive knowledge of Pacific Northwest plant life - Strong estimation background, with working knowledge of construction/installation & irrigation - Commercial landscape in field experience preferredTerms of EmploymentFull time.
