Job Description

DEA is seeking a talented Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect with strong technical skills to join our group in Woodinville, WA. Our Landscape Architecture team has a passion for open space and streetscape design for master planned communities, multi-use and infill projects, residential land development, commercial development, urban planning and park projects for public and private development clients. In our office, we work collaboratively with our colleagues in planning, engineering and survey, under an integrated design model. Many of our projects are large in scale, offering opportunities for our landscape architects to advance a broad range of skills in planning, entitlement, grading, and community scale

Job Requirements:

In addition to a degree in landscape architecture, the ideal candidate will bring these skills:

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Landscape Designer position
•Experience preparing site and planting plans in AutoCAD or Civil 3D
•Knowledge of hardscape detailing, grading and ADA accessibility, basic irrigation design
•Clear written and graphic communication skills
•Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
•Project research and documentation: code and entitlement research, products and specifications, cost estimates, Green Factor
•Hand graphics and 3D design modeling (eg: Civil 3D, Sketch Up, Revit, Land FX Programs)
•Demonstrated knowledge of ornamental and native plants for the Pacific NW
•Experience with design of raingardens, bioinfiltration and green stormwater infrastructure
•Landscape Architecture license in Washington State (or working towards licensure)

We can consider flexibility to work part time and our location is convenient for those living in the north end or the east side, and want to reduce commute times.
