Job Description

Under general supervision, assigned to handle specific technical and design aspects of well-defined projects. Essential Responsibilities: - Gathers data and conducts analysis of data for use in projects - Identifies planning strategies using tools such as GIS and traffic software to manipulate data and assess scenarios - Investigates, evaluates, and recommends the design and technical solutions that best meet the project needs - Coordinates among other disciplines involved in a project and usually has regular interaction with clients and other project consultants - Develops design concepts, technical solutions, graphics and reports for limited portions of project or for small-scale projects -Assists in presentations of project work to client and community groups - Assists in the public participation process and stakeholder facilitation - Prepares transportation plans, reports, studies, and formulates results -Performs other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities - Assist with design efforts for landscape architecture/urban design/environmental mitigation design services in Washington State and the western United States - Construction document development for planting, irrigation, grading, etc. relating to urban design and mitigation/restoration design - Coordinate work efforts with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, architects, landscape architects, and planners - Some field work relating to landscape and ecosystem assessment.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or related field - 1-year related experience

Preferred Qualification/Skills

At least 1-5 years of design experience producing bid plans, specifications, and cost estimates - Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation - Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel - Strong written and verbal communication skills required - Must be proficient in graphics programs including Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Sketchup and/or hand graphics are desired.
