Marketing/Administrative Support

Employer

Site Workshop Landscape Architecture

Job Description

Based in Seattle, Site Workshop is a collaborative group of 18 landscape architects and designers with a diverse portfolio of work that emphasizes the public realm. Our projects range from parks and civic facilities, to private urban development and land planning, to healthcare and education. We work at every scale, from some of the largest developments in the Pacific Northwest to small, grant-funded community projects. We are currently looking to hire someone to provide marketing and administrative support. The primary focus of this position would be to help us effectively communicate what we do to potential clients and to our peers in the design community. Basic responsibilities include:

  • Helping develop project narratives and team bios
  • Responding to RFQs/RFPs
  • Coordinating project photography and other graphic documentation
  • Preparing submissions for design awards
  • Developing press releases to promote our work
  • Providing general administrative support

Job Requirements

We’re not necessarily looking for a marketing professional—in fact, a refugee from the arts or humanities could be an excellent cultural fit. We’re hoping to find someone who can work confidently in a loosely structured work environment, actively contribute to our collaborative culture, and bring the following skills:

  • Strong written and graphic communication
  • Solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, but Photoshop would be a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment, while at the same time being able to take direction
  • Organized and meticulous, with a conviction that proper grammar still matters
  • A healthy skepticism for social media, public relations and marketing in general.

Terms of Employment

This is a full-time, salaried position, with a benefits package that includes: • health insurance • SIMPLE IRA plan • profit-sharing • a professional development stipend.
