MIG|SvR | Portico - a leading national planning, design, management, communications, and technology firm with over 200 employees in 14 U.S. offices, is seeking motivated and creative mid- to senior-level Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary team in our Seattle offices. This leadership position involves working with and leading collaborative project teams to create bold and innovative landscape architectural solutions for both public and private sector clients. We are looking for people who are inspired and driven to create great places. The ideal candidate(s) will work closely with teams of urban designers, civil engineers, architects, planners and others to develop forward-thinking landscape architectural solutions for projects throughout the Puget Sound region, collaborations with other MIG offices across the country, and international design work. Projects types are diverse and may include public gardens, visitor centers, streetscape designs, parks, corridor plans, green stormwater downtown revitalization plans, comprehensive plans, station area plans and transit-oriented development, and neighborhood and districts plans.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, planning, or related field. Master's degree in complementary field highly preferred.
  • 12+ years of work experience in landscape architecture
  • Licensed PLA
  • Strong graphics
  • Proven ability to speak in front of groups and to facilitate small and large group discussions
  • Experience in developing marketing proposals and attending project interviews
  • Desired computer proficiency includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, GIS, and AutoCAD
  • Illustrator skills are also a plus, as are bilingual capabilities.
