Job Description

Communita / Atelier are currently seeking a Project Manager/Designer with a minimum of 10 years of professional landscape architectural office experience. The position requires experience managing mixed use projects with AutoCAD and digital graphic ability. Communita / Atelier are a 6 person landscape architecture and site planning firm. Our client base is primary private mixed use residential developers. Our services include landscape design, signage and wayfinding design, master planning, community design, park design, streetscape design, and the creation of residential design guidelines. We specialize in integrated design by creating vibrant and healthy places for people to live and focus on sustainable, creative and personalized landscape architecture with a high regard for function and dedication to quality.

Job Requirements: 

This position requires a degree in landscape architecture and professional registration. -Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite - The ability to work with design team to develop conceptual, schematic, and construction documents for landscape architectural elements - Knowledge of materials and detailing – Strong design and problem solving skills - Detail-oriented with the ability to create accurate construction drawings – Strong communication and presentation skills - Knowledge of northwest ecology including plants and soils - Strong knowledge of landscape construction detailing and materials including green roofs and detailing for roof top amenity areas - Strong, clear communication skills including problem solving under tight schedule with multiple team members, consultants, and clients - Positive, ‘let’s figure it out’ attitude.

Terms of Employment

Salary, responsibilities and benefits will be consistent with experience and ability. This is a full time or part time position. We are centrally located in downtown Seattle near light rail and bus lines. Benefits include; paid vacation, paid holidays, medical, paid sick and 401k.
